The latest surprise that Apple has prepared for us has to do with its smart watch. But we are not talking about new functions, but one of its parts would get smarter. It's about the customizable straps that the user can currently exchange as desired.
Now, in the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Cupertino's latest idea has been found. As collected AppleInsider, It is a self-adjusting strap; that is, a strap that had the property of being able to tighten or loosen depending on the diameter of each wrist.
According to the documents that accompany the patent, Apple says that current strap manufacturing methods do not make it easy for these elements to fit well for each user given the large amounts of diameters that can be. Likewise, it is specified that a bad fit of the Apple Watch to the wrist can culminate in an erroneous reading of the sensors of the w from Apple. In addition, this can be aggravated when the user practices sports, sweats and the watch can gradually come loose.
These elements have been the ones that have led Apple to patent such an invention for its smart watch. Different methods are listed in the patent to achieve this adjustment to the millimeter. Among them solutions such as extensible parts in the belts are discussed; integrate a memory cable inside the strap. Or, make parts of the Apple Watch chassis that extend. With this last solution, it is said that part of the Apple box would move around the user's skin and achieve a thorough grip.
Likewise, the intention is that the strap has memory and recognition of the user through biometric sensors incorporated and once the Apple Watch is placed on the skin, it adjusts to the maximum to its owner. Now, do not forget that Apple thinks of everything and there would be a custom adjustment method through the screen of the w. For the moment, everything is collected a document and we do not know if it will be released in the near future.
