In any case, it is not something strange, since the percentage of Mac computers that is used to browse the web has been increasing several years, placing the previous record at 8% that was obtained during the month of October 2015 and approximately a year ago, in April of last year, the share was already 7,4%, always if we stick to the data provided by this company.

The data provided on the use of the web by the different types of equipment through Net Applications dates back to November 2007, when Windows had a 95,9% market share and Mac only reached 3,4%.

On the contrary, Microsoft has seen its dominance in the PC market diminish in favor of Apple, for example its share of use in the PC market fell below 90% for the first time last month. Windows accounted for 89,2% of computers on the Internet in April, down from 90,5% in March, as confirmed by the aforementioned Net Applications. However, the version of OS X 10.11 called El Capitan, obtained 4% of the online use of PC in April.

Anyway, on Tuesday of last week, Apple confirmed that Mac computer sales they fell 12% annually in the March quarter. It is the second time in the last 28 quarters that Macs have failed to outperform the global PC market growth rate.
