A survey reveals that switching to Mac at work makes us more productive

User consult Mac

A survey reveals with data something that for many was evident. The change to Mac from windows in a business environment, makes you more productive. This statement had been heard in many groups, but now we have empirical data.

Market research company Vanson Bourne has conducted a study on business adoption of the Mac environment and the satisfaction of users who had migrated. The results obtained have shown some degrees of satisfaction higher than expected among employees. Not only the daily system boot, but also the productivity, creativity and teamwork, has been the highlight of the change. Various business areas have been included in the study. From Commercial teams to Engineers, R&D departments or Human Resources have participated. Everyone agrees on a high degree of satisfaction. In the survey carried out, they were asked how their work has improved after using a Mac. The results show ratios higher than 94% in: greater productivity, greater creativity and greater mastery of technology. The only index that obtains 91% is the one that demands the greatest collaboration within the Apple ecosystem.

Offices

Many are the users who have asked their company to be able to work with a Mac, despite having to virtualize an application that the company does not have adapted to macOS. In fact, in the survey, we observed that 79% would prefer to bring their own Mac before having to work with windows again. These users highlight productivity that you get with macOS and third-party apps for everyday, highly repetitive tasks.

Another notable data is the reduced errors suffered by a user working with Mac. The figures speak of zero to two problems in 12 months for 70% of users. From my personal point of view, I have to do my daily work with a high-end PC. Every day I feel some frustration to do some kind of task that takes me a minute or two, while doing it with a Mac would take a few seconds. So, I join whoever thinks we'd be more productive in the business world with a Mac.
