An Apple Watch Sport underwater [video]

watch-pool

Not having the Apple Watch in our hands on launch day is always more bad than good, but the possibility of seeing the faults and virtues of the device being the second to have it is the only good part. This is the case of the tests, reviews, videos and other information that comes to us from users who already have it in their hands and that they share with others.

Until now we did not have such a specific video testing in the water for the Apple Watch, in this case it is the Sport version and taking into account that Apple lists it with the certification IPX7, which means that it holds water but with limitations, the device seems to work very well.

The interesting thing about this experiment is that the FoneFox colleagues shower with the watch and then put it to tests in the pool. But we leave the video which is what really matters now:

5 minutes submerged in a basin of water after showering or even 15 minutes of bathing in the pool They have not been able to with that resistance of the Apple watch to water. What we would like to see is what happens a few days later, although it seems clear that this watch in its Sport version holds up very well to water.

Honestly, if I end up buying one, I do not think I will submerge it in water and Apple does not specify that it can be subjected to this type of test without damage. But surely we end up having more tests of this type with the watch and even worse, which offers us 'that advantage' of knowing how long it holds.

If you buy it Are you going to wet it?

For now, I will treat my apple watch as if it were a gremlin. No water! Just in case I'll wait
