Apple just launched Watch 2, the first major update for the Apple Watch to the public. Apple was planning to release watchOS 2 alongside iOS 9 but had to delay due to a critical error in watchOS 2.
Apple had announced watchOS 2 at the WWDC 2015 Keynote, and showcased some of the new features and enhancements, such as new watch faces, travel time, ability for apps to run natively on the Apple Watch, a new night mode, the ability to take FaceTime audio calls, and more.
Third-party applications can also take advantage of features such as Digital crown, accelerometer, heart rate sensor, speaker y microphone, which were previously available only for some applications. With watchOS 2, developers will be able to build more complex, full-featured applications so they can now be run natively on the watch itself, instead of being tied to the iPhone for better performance, so they must charge faster and with greater capacities.
