After several months of rumors and speculation about both the price and the launch date of Apple's video streaming service, the Cupertino-based company announced both the official availability and the price that we will have to pay, if we are interested in the limited catalog that it will offer us initially.
Apple TV + will be available from November 1 in more than 150 countries and will do so at a price of 4,99 euros, nothing of the 9,99 euros that was rumored could be the final price. Apple TV + will not only be available through all Apple devices and smart televisions (Samsung) but it will also be available via the web.
In order to access the catalog that Apple will offer us through Apple TV + we will only have to visit the web tv.apple.com and enter our Apple user account. A few days ago, Apple announced the launch, in beta phase, of Apple Music via web, which allows us to enjoy our favorite playlists and songs without having to install any Apple application on the device we are on.
Both movements show how Apple wants to offer the greatest possible flexibility to users so that they can enjoy its services without having to use specific applications. At the moment, we do not know if it will launch an application for Android, something quite likely, since Apple Music is available in this ecosystem practically since its launch.
New episodes every week
Apple announced that new episodes will be added every week, so we can forget to do series marathons as Netflix has us used to. Disney's streaming video service, Disney +, plans to follow the same path as Apple, adding new episodes every week of its own series. Hopefully Netflix does not follow the same path and allows us to continue bingeing on series to which we are accustomed.
