When can we buy the Apple Watch 2 and what will it be like?

Apple Watch sales stagnate

These are the unanswered questions that most interest me of everything that surrounds the September keynote, and that is that the iPhone 7 is not going to surprise us too much and we prefer to wait another year. The iPad Pro will be updated but it will not introduce major changes, and the Macbooks are a mystery, although there is talk of a redesign and a possible OLED bar on the keyboard for the function keys, something innovative and that we would love.

Anyway, my main interest lies in the Apple Watch 2, a long-awaited generation that now seems to shake, as Apple has not been able to develop it as much as they would have liked due to problems with technology and manufacturers. What will this new watch be like when will it go on sale to everyone?

The Apple Watch 2 is waiting

I remember when the first model went on sale, that it was already said that it was not a good idea to buy it because they would soon release a new generation correcting the bugs and improving it, a fact that did happen with the iPhone and iPad. Nevertheless Apple is waiting until this September to show us the evolution of its most personal deviceWhich seems to be not going to be very innovative in design, as John Ive is busier with the car and other secret projects, plus the first-generation design is still current and can be maintained. What we need are improvements to features and battery life.

If the Apple Watch 2 is presented in this keynote they should launch it in the next two months, before Christmas to take advantage of those dates and raise sales even more. We know that Apple is not very much in sales this year and with both the iPhone 7 and this watch they could raise the statistics again and help the company to obtain more profits than ever, since the success of the devices and products would be added and also that of services such as Apple Music or iCloud, which has more and more users (including myself).

The release date of the Apple Watch 2 could be in November or even December, if they continue with production problems, which at this point would not be good news, neither for the product, nor for users nor for Apple.

The features that the Watch 2 will carry

It is said that Apple insisted on including mobile data in this generation, but for reasons of technology and battery it was decided to postpone it to the future. The duration of the Apple Watch between charges would be drastically reduced and they are not yet ready to make use of such technology and innovation in the watch, plus it is not necessary right now, since the clock drinks from the data and the connection of the iPhone, in addition to the Wifi.

It will advance a bit in its struggle to become a standalone device and will try to increase its power with new processors, which comes in handy to combat those endless waits when opening applications. They could also expand the internal storage, something very successful now that the applications will be directly on the clock, and not on the iPhone.

Of course some improvements in Health and in the meters that this wearable carries. It could put something related to sleep and tracking it, in addition to carrying a GPS chip, which users have been demanding since the first generation was introduced. A device like this cannot go without GPS. As a curiosity, I will say that perhaps the screen is thinner to slim the body of the Apple Watch and it could also come with a FaceTime camera to make video calls, although this may be unnecessary and too soon, it could consume too much battery too.

We'll see what Apple has in store for us in September. The safest thing is that we can buy it in Spain in mid-October next to the iPhone 7 and 7 plus, although it is still likely to be delayed a little more.
