Apple just announced that to celebrate the EU Programming Week that runs from October 6 to 21, it will offer more than 2.000 free programming sessions in all Apple Stores in Europe.
The programming sessions are for all audiences and are designed to inspire and help people of all ages and levels to program through interactive hands-on experiences. The bad thing as always in these cases is not having an official Apple Store close to home to be able to sign up, the rest is great.
They will teach us to program from scratch
The classes vary according to the level but all of them are: «Step by step: start programming, Teachers Tuesday: App Design and Fundamentals of Programming y Playtime: Sphero's Labyrinth ». Apple offers programming sessions throughout the year on its Today at Apple program and it is true that they are all free, but now they are going to be carried out in a massive and intense way in all the stores that the company has in Europe. Another of the most outstanding courses is "La Hora del Recreo" which has been the most popular programming session this year, with more than 50.000 children who have attended programming classes in stores across Europe with Tynker apps and Swift Playgrounds, as protagonists.
It is evident that the programming language is based on and created to learn to program in Swift, which is Apple's programming language. During the past year the company has been able to breastfeed more than 75.000 users who participated in the more than 14.000 programming sessions in Apple Store stores in the old continent. Universities and vocational training centers across Europe offer the most advanced content in app development with Swift, which provides students with the necessary tools to create their own apps and acquire key knowledge for future careers as software developers.
