A kidnapped woman is rescued thanks to the Apple Watch

Texas police

What we are going to tell today is not something that usually happens-luckily- although it is true that the Apple Watch always offers stories about early detection of diseases, warnings for accidents of all kinds through or warnings for falls.

This time the television network Fox of San Antonio, published a story about the rescue of a woman who was being held by her ex-husband. The location of the woman was thanks to the Apple watch since the option to calling with the Apple device we could say that it saved her.

The events occurred last year, specifically on December 16. After a heated argument, the woman was forced to get into the ex-husband's truck and she managed to call her daughter at one point to notify the authorities that she was in danger. The daughter was quick to ask for the location but it was impossible to obtain it. At this point the police tried to locate the call and the best way to do it was with the search option of Apple devices.

They discovered that the woman was in the parking lot of the Hyatt Place Hotel, inside the truck and her ex-husband had run away. It seems that the next day they managed to arrest the alleged abductor of this woman and the story ended well.

Having the possibility to call from the Apple Watch even if you do not have the iPhone on you or it is turned off is undoubtedly a very good option to make calls. Apple should implement this option in all its watches for the same price and obviously the operators should allow using this option at no cost for the user who already pays a lot in the current rates.

Personally, my Series 4 is the LTE model and I am satisfied with this option that allows us to call independently of the iPhone, but my current operator does not offer plans for this and therefore it does not help much. It is not that it is something essential but it is highly recommended because you can help us at any time and situation.
