Apple announces replacement programs for its computers, when it has detected a number of significant failures in some component of a specific team. In this case, advertise a program to replace SSD disks of MacBook Pros without Touch Bar, purchased between June 2017 and June 2018.
Apparently, Apple has detected a problem in one of its computers, which can cause the data loss and general drive failure. Affected Macs are included in the SSD replacement program and you can go to a technical service for replacement.
If you are the owner of this equipment, since the problem can arise unexpectedly, we recommend check if your team is in the program. For this, Apple has enabled a website where you can send your serial number. Before launching the replacement program, Apple checks if similar models, such as the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar or earlier models (later in this model have not been presented) have the same problem, and it is not the case.
When Apple tells you that the model is included in the replacement program, customers should go to either an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Reseller. If you don't have both near your home, you can also contact Apple Support and request a repair by mail.
