The number of applications that will be supported now in the new macOS Catalina will grow considerably on the Mac App Store thanks to the Catalyst project. In this case it is the official name of what we knew as project Marzipan, so now this is the new name.
Starting in the fall when the new Mac OS is officially released, users will have more Mac versions of our favorite third-party apps available. This does not mean that all iPad apps will work on Mac, but it does mean that developers will be able to port these apps more easily to significantly increase the number of apps available on macOS.
More applications with Project Catalyst
The new Api and tools available now in macOS Catalina facilitate the migration of apps from iPad to Mac, so the more than a million applications that we have available today on iPad could easily and quickly jump to the Mac application store. With this what is achieved is a brutal improvement in productivity and that is that we will be able to continue working from a Mac what we started on an iPad and vice versa.
Within the applications all branches will be added and Apple officially announced the arrival of the official Twitter app, for example. As of the launch of the new version of macOS Catalina, users will be able to start enjoying these applications and little by little new apps will continue to be added to both systems with an interface adapted to be able to work perfectly with them in both OS. Some of those mentioned by Apple in addition to Twitter also speak of entertainment such as Asphalt 9 that will come to macOS Catalina or Jira Cloud among others.
