Scan QR codes with your Mac camera thanks to QR Journal

QR codes have been converted for some time to this part of a way to be able to display information on a web page in a much more simple and interactive way. Well, not exactly simple, rather comfortable, since we just have to bring our iPhone closer so that the camera recognizes the address to which it corresponds.

It should be remembered that since iOS 11, Apple includes an option within the camera options of our iPhone, which allows to automatically recognize the QR codes and redirect us directly to the corresponding website. Without a doubt a very comfortable system, but if we are in front of the computer, it is not so comfortable.

If on more than one occasion, we have to read QR codes, doing it from the mobile is not an option, since logically the web does not show us the same interface as if we visit it from a computer. In these cases, we can use the QR Journal application, a simple application that allows us to recognize QR codes through the front camera from our iMac or MacBook. If it is another Mac, we can also use it making use of the webcam that we have connected to our equipment.

In addition, it also allows us to import QR codes from other applications or scan them directly so that they are recognized by the application. QR Journal is available for download completely free of charge, does not integrate any type of in-app purchases. In addition, it is compatible with the latest version of macOS, although it does not offer us compatibility with dark mode.

The only thing that this application would lack to be 100% perfect, it would allow us to create QR codes, a function that we can find for free through many Internet pages.
