Juniper Research Says Smartwatch Sales Will Keep Growing Over The Years until reaching 166 million units sold in 2023. This means that companies that are currently enjoying impressive sales will continue to grow over time and other brands will also grow in sales.

Currently the Apple Watch, Fitbit bracelets or Samsung wrist devices are basically taking the largest part of this cake, being The watches of the Cupertino boys are the ones that are growing the most in sales in recent years. But in the future things seem to continue to improve so other companies will join the bandwagon and that is that Huawei, Garmin and other brands are joining efforts to move on to the previous ones.

The numbers are good for everyone, but Apple is ahead

It is true that many are the manufacturers that are involved in the race to be the ones that sell the most smartwatches, but of all those that are sold the most, they are Apple. On the other side we have the figures of 24 million units of smartwatch that have been sold in China this 2018, a figure that is well above the close to 20 million units that were sold in the United States, which means that in the future these figures will favor China.

That is why they talk about 166 million units sold by 2023 when it comes to smart watches in general. Those that dominate today that are Apple, Fossil, Fitbit and Samsung will be equaled or tightened by others such as Huawei, Garmin or Huami, which makes everything tighten in this sector to which we remember that Apple arrived later than the rest but that soon took the lead.
