This limitation frustrates the user experience of these devices. But if we want to use a smartwatch with our iPhone that allows us to interact in both directions, that is, to be able to respond to notifications, we must go through the hoop and get the Apple Watch.

Just published a study that shows the use made by users of the Apple Watch and in it we see that the main use of it is to check the time, something normal in a device whose main function is that, at least in theory. Next, within the time we spend using the Apple Watch, we find that 17% of the time we use it to see the notifications we receive and interact with them according to their type.

Next, we find in 6% the notification center and the application to exercise, which reflects that users if they are using this device to quantify their day-to-day physical activity. Closing the classification of the time used with the Apple Watch, we find that the Mail application is only used 0,1% of the time, the Maps application and the phone 1% like other applications.

Regarding the use of third-party applications, we found that only 1% of the time is used with this type of applications. It seems that users They prefer to use the apps that are installed by default on the Apple Watch and they don't see the need to use third-party apps.
