The EKG function will be available in watchOS 5.1.2

Apple already announced during the presentation of the new Apple Watch Series 4 that the electrocardiogram function would be available later this year. On this occasion the company seems to have "lost" a document to which the well-known MacRumors media has had access and in which it is explained that ECG function will be available in the next version of watchOS 5.1.2.

In the absence of an official confirmation from Apple that we do not believe confirms either, we have the third beta version of this OS in the hands of the developers and therefore the final version is expected to be released in a few weeks. We are not clear how many beta versions will be released before the official version, but we do not expect that there will be many considering that December is about to touch and if there are no problems of any kind this function will be active before the end of the year.

The United States will be the first to receive this feature which is also Restricted to new Apple Watch models, Series 4. Despite this, it seems that with the simple change of region of the device this function could work worldwide, since it is a function that activates the hardware that all Apple Watch Series 4 carry and therefore it would be logical for it to be so. Previous Apple Watch models are left out of the function since it is something that is incorporated in the digital crown of the Apple Watch Series 4.

Hopefully the leak that has been released to us from the MacRumors website is completely true and soon we will have this new version of watchOS 5.1.2 available to all users. In the coming weeks with the launch of new betas for developers the next weeks we will see if this is confirmed and then the release of the final version will simply be missing.
