This is the unique building where the Brooklyn Keynote will be held

The Keynote that Apple plans to celebrate tomorrow Tuesday, has no recent precedent. In the first place, by the presentation, in principle, of so much new product or update of a product that we already have on the market. But secondly, for being the first time that an event of these characteristics has been held on the East Coast of the United States in recent years.

In addition to leaving your area of greater influence, the celebration in the Downtown Brooklyn store is a declaration of intentions towards the artistic sector and design. This venue was formerly the Howard Gilman Opera House.

And it is that the last time that Apple celebrates an event of these characteristics in the East coast of the United States, it was in the Macworld exhibition in 2002. On that occasion, the host was Steve Jobs. Apple continued to hold a technology industry event jointly with other brands, until 2009.

Since then, Apple took the path of hosting events on its own, meticulously taking care of not only the moment of the exercise where I wanted to carry it out, but also the place determined for its presentation. The magic moment of these presentations has been the opening of the Steve Jobs theater in 2017. Other locations that Apple has used frequently have been the San Francisco Yerba Buena Art Center. As can be seen, at all times they are buildings with uniqueness and not chosen at random.

The exception came last spring, when Apple held a specific event, focused on education, which was held at a Chicago school. The specialized press comments that the choice of the Apple building in Brooklyn is due to a nod to the design industry. If we look at the invitations sent to the event, this contribution from journalists has some coherence. And we don't just find it on invitations. In the exterior windows of the building, we find images where it stands out for its color. Until the Metro station closer to the store, it has images that remind us of the Apple event that will be held on October 30 a few meters away.
