watchOS 4 will allow you to use the Apple Watch as a flashlight

Little by little, the news that Apple will bring to all Apple Watch with the new watchOS 4 operating system is becoming known. The feature that we are going to discuss today It also did not exist in the beginning in the operating system of the iPhone. and it was not until a few years ago that it was included in them.

watchOS 4 will make it possible, for the first time, that the Apple Watch can work as a flashlight as the screen currently works on certain iPhone models to use as a front camera flash.

In iPhones, some operating systems ago, the flash on the back was used as a flashlight for which Apple added a button to the slider control center of the screen to activate said flash. With the arrival of 3D Touch, the gesture gained power and with the recognition of the touch sensitivity of the screen that was released with the first Apple Watch you could select the intensity of the flashlight.

Now, in the next version of the Apple Watch system, that is, the watchOS 4 comes a new functionality that will allow us to use the Apple Watch as a flashlight. For this, the system, of course, will not be able to make use of a built-in flash because the concept of the clock itself does not make it incorporate an element of this type and that is why those of Cupertino They have resorted to the same idea of how to get the flash for the front camera of the iPhone, that is, through the screen itself.

Therefore, when we slide our finger from bottom to top on the Apple Watch screen we will have a new icon in the drop-down that will have the drawing of a flashlight and when we press it we will see how the screen of our Apple Watch is illuminated completely white, a white so bright that in dark places it can serve as a flashlight.

However, there is not everything here and we will have three different possibilities with this flashlight mode. When we press the icon in the control center, the screen will light up in white and the time will appear in small at the top and three little dots at the bottom that let us see the other two options that will exist, which are, the possibility of a blinking light to make us more visible in some extreme situation and a third option that would illuminate the screen in red so as not to disturb so much if we do it in a place where we cannot generate much light.

Can someone tell me what the green LEDs on the back are for? Sometimes they light up and I don't know what that is for

The LEDs that you see behind are the sensors with which the Apple Watch is measuring your pulse. Every time you see them on, it is measuring your heart rate.
