Finally Flexibits, the company in charge of the development of Fantastical 2 has deigned to launch the version for Mac, but as they say in these cases, the good thing is made to wait ... and in what way. To put in the background readers who do not know about this application or who simply know something about it, suffice to say that it is the best application for manage events, reminders and tasks in the calendar that exists in Mac although it must be made clear that this is a personal assessment but at least from my point of view it is the most complete.

The first thing that is clear is that the interface has been completely redesigned taking into account the new aesthetics that OS X Yosemite provided at the time, and the truth is that once we run the application, the care with which the developers have treated the interface is evident, since it fits fantastically well.

So at least the co-founder of Flexibits himself, Michael Simmons, declared:

When we designed the original Fantastical for Mac almost four years ago, the real goal was to fix what iCal, Apple's own calendar app, offered at the time where adding events was difficult, really time consuming, and definitely not fun. With Fantastical 2 we made the Fantastical experience even better.

The only downside is that we need Yosemite to run it, but this requirement can take a back seat if we think that Flexibits has focused on offering a stable user experience quality, with features such as a widget in notification center, different extensions plus support to switch between Mac, iPhone and iPad without problems. It even adds integration with iCloud reminders which is handy too.

Another of the added functions are calendar groups which allows to switch between combinations of several calendars with a single click in addition to being linked according to the places where we are, that is, if we are close to work or in the office, the work calendar will appear automatically, but when we get home this will disappear.

Whereas the first version was anchored to the menu bar with a too "contained" interface, Fantastical 2 has more space within your own full window with a day, week and month view. However, if you still prefer to see it in the menu bar format, you can also activate this mode.

The application is available with a 20% discount for Limited time at a price of 39.99 Euros On the Flexibits site itself and on the Mac App Store, after the promotion time it will be priced at 49.99 Euros.
